Crime Stoppers
History
Cass County Crime Stoppers was incorporated on July 2, 1986.
This program is a nonprofit organization.
Cass County Crime Stoppers, Inc. was founded to promote community welfare and lessen the burden on the government of Cass County by assisting all the law enforcement agencies operating in Cass County, Indiana. This organization aids in the apprehension and conviction of criminals by making funds available for use in offering rewards. Crime Stoppers also helps develop a community offensive against crime by motivating members of the public to cooperate with the various police units in the county and other law enforcement agencies.
Cass County Crime Stoppers operates with the assumption that someone other than the criminal has information that can help solve a crime. Crime Stoppers also relies on the belief that stopping crime is the end result of citizens assisting law enforcement.
