Welcome. Our department provides public safety services for the approximately 19,684 residents of Logansport. We also provide protection to the residents in the following townships of Cass County: Eel, Noble, Clay and Washington. Altogether, we cover an area of 100 square miles which has a population of over 30,000 people. Additionally our rescue truck responds to any vehicular accident within the county. We will also respond to calls for assistance outside the boundaries of the county. A general alarm within the city limits is answered by three engines, the rescue truck, and the chief. We average approximately 110 runs per month. We are also equipped for swift water rescue, and have sent 19 of our staff through the Indiana River Rescue School in South Bend.
EMS. The Logansport Fire Department is certified as a BLS Non-Transport provider. All of our engines are equipped with defibrillators, and we respond in tandem with Cass Co EMS.
